About Us...
Hi, my name is Alyssa, and I am the owner and founder of Wandering Sweets. We are a family of five that lives in the heart of New Jersey, in the great town of Freehold. Our family proudly serves the community by running an innovative and imaginative dessert truck that offers one-of-a-kind, crafted, customized desserts to all types of events and parties. We love seeing all the smiles as people try one of our cookies for the first time. Our favorite part of any event is seeing the happiness in those we serve and in being a part of those special events. Our truck was personally created and designed from the ground up by our family to make sure it had everyone we needed to bring the vision forth and serve our community in a way that meets its needs. We are so excited to launch in Spring 2022 and we cannot wait for you to wander with us!
As far back as I can remember, the kitchen has always been my happy place and my favorite place in the house. It is the heart of the home, and where you can always find me.
I have been baking ever since I received my very first Easy Bake Oven. Anything my parents were making in their oven; I was doing my own version in my oven. It’ didn’t stop there. I can still remember the excitement I felt when I bought my first cookbook. I eagerly flipped through every page excited to try every recipe. However, that was when I discovered that I didn’t like to just follow recipes, I liked to tweak and create my own recipes. It was here I truly felt alive. It is here in this space where my creativity could come alive and the satisfaction on my friend’s faces as they enjoyed my own recipes filled my heart even more. I LOVE baking and cooking and it’s my passion.
The Inspiration...
It took me a while to find the inspiration to branch out on my own to create and tailor my own dessert truck. Along the way there were some other jobs and businesses all which contributed to the creation of Wandering Sweets. I also have 3 wonderful children that I enjoyed baking for over the years and I slowly realized this is my life’s calling. It has always been my happy place to create and cook and here is where the idea took root. Why not create for the community full time? Why not let my passion evolve into a business. This is how Wandering Sweets came to be.
I feel so blessed to be able to cook, create, and bake every day and to do something that makes me come alive with happiness. I am so excited to be able to share this love of baking with you!
